Yellow Ball, Blue Water

They say the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. When it comes to swimming, a spruce grew from a nearby acorn.

Cake, Icing, Candles and Presents

Life doesn't get any better than blowing out the candles on your third birthday cake with your cousin.

Chawanakee

The view from my tent at summer camp. If you take color pictures when it is very dark they look like they're black and white - well more like black and less black.

Muckish

Luke conquered Mt. Muckish on the 2nd attempt. Dense fog forced him to turn back on the fist attempt, and would have done it again if he'd started 30 minutes later.

Happy Swimmer

Sian likes to sing while she swims. Some times she sings quietly to herself, and sometimes she really belts it out.

Becca The Swinger

The tire swing has been the focus of some controversy. Many mothers have commented that Becca swings too high and too fast, but we think she's doing it just about right.

Idyllwild Campfire

Luke enjoyed the show the older scouts put on.

Waterdrop

Another day at Grandpa's pool with Luke and Sian. If you look closely at the waterdrop on Luke's chin you can see a Wookie.

The Web

This spider web is between a street light and a tree. The street light gives a strong oblique illumination, but the web only reflects it at one angle - making this the only view.

Londoners Away

Siobhan & Grainne were good sports and immersed themselves into life with children. The kids loved it - and so did we. I hope they return soon!

Bucket of Becca

Becca and Sian set out to wash the car. Becca got wet and then cold. When she realized that the soapy water was nice and warm, she crawled right in.

Goodnight Moon

Moonset over Yuma.

Wednesday Oct. 6 outside the Holiday Inn in Yuma AZ.
